Lone Tree loop - 8:00 AM
80s, clear, dry
mind/body - good
easy effort
Just a shake out of the legs today. I felt like today was just as an important run mentally and physically as yesterday. I didn't want to run (mentally) but once I got going I was fluid - 8:08 pace today. Really good week for me; 83 myles with one track workout and one tempo run. Still waiting on a couple details to work out for Ireland but the longer they take the slimmer the chance of me going.
Check out this photo. The two guys on the left inspired me 7 years ago to jump into ultras. Care to comment Carolyn?
Can you name everyone? Where? What year?

One is none other than Brandon Sybrowsky. Who are the others and where did you come across the photo? Where are they? Fun to see.!!!! :Q)
Is that Ian T.?
So far so good. Someone out there will get them all. Small, unique prize for someone.
Looks like somewhere on the western slope. Frutia?
Don't know the peeps, but location looks like White Rim.
Stephanie Ehret, Paul Pomeroy, Peter Bakwin
I would imagine white rim (probably in a day)
stephanie ehret, paul pomeroy, peter bakwin
Jeff Browning (I'll steal the rest of the names from the other comments), Brandon Sybrowsky, Stephanie Ehret, Paul Pomeroy and Peter Bakwin. I'll steal location too; White Rim. And do some math 2010-7 = year 2003 (if the photo was taken the year of your inspiration). It's worth a shot for a "small unique prize."
Hope all works out for Ireland.
Darren
Pretty close Darren. The only one you didn't steal you got wrong. That's ok, send me an email: esjaime44@gmail.com and I'll send you some "bright" socks.
The real story:
This was Buzz Burrell's birthday run: Craziest run I've ever done! We dropped down from Grand View Point (Canyonlands NP) on a sheep (read big horn sheep) trail...I thought I was gonna die! I think my undies are still stained!!! Then we scaled Junction Butte...I was cursing the whole way! Thought I was gonna die again! Then finished by way of the White Rim Road and then back up via the Lathrop Canyon Trail. Epic!!! Sybrowsky hooted and hollered the whole way ;>) Sybrowsky, Torrence, Ehert, Pomery, Bakwin. Burrell took the shot I believe. Chris Martinez (RD for the Moab Red Hot 50K) was also on the run but bailed early via Gooseberry Trail I think. Ah, yes, the good 'ole days!!! Awesome!
Later man!
Ian
