22 myles - 2.47:32

HR/Daniels Park loop - 2:00 P.M.
mid 70s, dry, partly cloudy
mind/body - good/tired legs
easy effort

Prescribed workout: 2.30 - 3 hours easy effort

Actual workout: 22 myles 2.47:32 avg. 7:36 ~1500 ft elevation gain

I started strong and positive but once I hit the 2 hour mark I ran into a mild bonk. I know running on tired legs only makes me stronger but this run sucked for the last 40 minutes! 1500 ft is not a lot over 22 myles but even the slightest-shortest hill after two hours was a grind. I guess the Barr trail took more out of me than I thought. Paul told me this was to be a tough week and now I believe him. I haven't hit high myles but I am just over 10,000 ft of climbing for the week and with more day I should be close to 14,000.

On another note, my mother is running her first race tomorrow in Utah. She is running the Ogden 1/2 marathon - good luck Mom! I'm really proud of you for sticking to the training and I'm happy that you're excited! And last Mom, have fun! This is the celebration of your training!

I was sad that I wasn't able to join you on the Thursday run, I just couldnt get away from work. Thanks for the advise on the PI Surge. Not only is it an awesome looking shoe but I really like the way it felt today. Hopefully I will see you Thursday.
