Chautauqua Park - 2:00 P.M.
50s, little wet, partly cloudy
mind/body - a little tired
easy effort
Prescribed workout: 60 minute uphill walking
Actual workout: 6 myles - 59:16 ~2000 ft elevation gain
I really wanted to get to Bear or Green mountain but there were no trail maps so I didn't know how to get there. I really didn't plan, I just happened to be in the area and just basically went up the hill, when the trail ended I turned around and went up the next one. I "think" I got to all 3 flatirons and the Royal Arch trail - really rocky stuff so it turned into a hike at the tops.

Drop me a note the next time you do this. I can clue you in.
Yeah thanks GZ - so many trails up there and I'll be damned if any of them say "Bear" or "Green" Mtn. trail. That would have been a nice clue....
Definitely give me a call next time you want to run here; I'm a quick walk away from the trails and am flexible with scheduling.
If interested, a group of us are "Bear Bagging" this Saturday (repetitive trips to the top of Bear beginning at 7am) I have a place for you to crash friday if you're interested. You won't find a better day of Hardrock training. You'll have 12,000 ft of climb before lunch.
Tim
FF,
I wish I could make it on Saturday but I'll be in San Diego over the weekend acclimating for HR....
From Chautauqua will you name the trails to Bear?
Eddy - there are many. Drop me an email and I can get you a phone number ... easier discussed ... FWIW ... I posted a route description to Green this AM. If you use Google earth, I can send you a KML file as well. In fact, Boulder OSMP has a monster zip file on their web site that you can down load all the trails into Google earth.
